THE WORST RENTAL PROPERTY AND STAFF I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED!!!

First let me start off by stating that the curb appeal was good on entry. And the lakes somewhat draw you in. With that being said, the staff here leaves a sweet taste in your mouth at the signing of the lease.

I assumed when signing my lease, the reason it took two weeks prior to the signing, is that this was a very desired place to live. Let me tell you, nothing could be FURTHUR from the truth!

It started by application fees not accurately being labelled for what they truly were. The staff said that "This fee is for this, this fee is for that, etc." but in reality, they tell you anything it takes to get you through the front door.

First, they never told me that the deposit for my dog was non-refundable. $500!
That was the easy part...getting over my $500. The hard part was living day-to-day here.

When we moved in, I was excited about the facilites (tennis courts, weight room, heated indoor pool, steamroom, hot tub, etc.), and much to my surprise, the indoor pool was NEVER heated, the hot tub never worked for the entire term of lease, and the sauna rarely worked. The weight room was mostly non-functional most of the time. Also, the tennis court blacktop is severely cracked and breaking away plate-sized pieces that can injure you just from WALKING on it, yet it never occurs to anyone to sweep it up! It's amazing how the obvious is NOT obvious to the staff here!

Who REALLY white-gloves this property'! Apparently, NO ONE!

And now, the problems with my apartment itself, which the stress and anxiety alone did to me:
I'll try to keep it as brief as possible...and I apologize for this being so long, but I wanted to bring the details to your attention...

1) COCKROACHES...Nothing done at ALL after 4 attempts to bring this to their attention...Needless to say, it was an ongoing issue to the end of the lease...And the staff blamed the bugs on our neighbor, who we know well, and know that they live very cleanly and neatly as we do!

2) Most of the appliances throughout the unit never worked properly and/or were old and clearly needed to be replaced. And this was an amazing battle in itself! I had to have my machines replaced 3 TIMES in 6 months, because all they would do is shuffle one bad appliance in place of the one that was alrady bad, from one unit to another! This is so cheap, for a group that charges so much money for rent and claims that they care about their tenants, when they obviously DON'T. They clearly didn't care that I couldn't wash my clothes, and I went many weeks between swap-outs without machines.

3) The UNPROFESSIONAL maintenance staff. When we first moved in, it took them 2 WEEKS to replace the lock on our patio door, despite the fact that we had VERY expensive contents and feared for our safety as we slept. The maintenance staff has changed here MANY times in the past few months, as well as the maintenance manager being replaced TWICE.
Maintenace would repeatedly make an appointment with me for repairs, and do a "no show, no call," after I took a day off from work. If I can't trust the staff, how could I trust them in my apartment when I'm not here and at work' Because they can't even keep their word on a appointment!! And this happened at least 15 times during the term of my lease!!! The repeated "no call, no show" put my job in jeopardy because of the time I had to take off to be present for repairs!!!

4) The POOLS....They were GREEN for months! Out front on entry, there's a sign that says "Heated Indoor Pool," and it sounds like a wonderful perk...But it was NEVER heated the entire time we lived here!!! The hot tub....same story! It never worked! The sauna worked 1/4 of the term of my lease. The weight room was always missing parts for the equipment to work properly and SAFELY. Chemical storage units where pools are located were left unlocked, unattended, and wide open for even a CHILD to get into. I even took pictures every day for proof! Everyone knows that mixing pool chemicals can KILL you. My God, what if your child got into these!' And this is AFTER telling the office staff one dozen times (at MINIMUM) about the safety concerns I had. I even heard about one tenant whose pedigree dog was poisoned by careless maintenance staff who allegedly didn't take proper care of their responsibility to maintain proper security over DEADLY CHEMICALS. If I was that tenant, I would SUE this complex! I feel so bad for them after hearing about that, especially after hearing that the financial reprocussions were very high, and thinking about that tenant's mental anguish. How horrible that the staff took no responsibility!

5) UNSAVORY CHARACTERS were noticed right after I was locked into my lease...Excessive loud music at all hours of the day and night! So loud that I could feel the bass vibrations from the cars playing music! I work the morning shift, and I was awakened SEVERAL times in the middle of night by this music. I suspect there's even DRUG-DEALING going on because of the crowds at night gathering around their cars and playing loud music. Again, the staff was notified, and NOTHING was ever done. Just yesterday, I noticed a car on blocks (when I came by to visit a friend)because clearly someone STOLE the rims and tires! And the alleged office staff's reply was, "Oh, it happens...We can't control the public." Yes, you can by POLICING YOUR PROPERTY with the overcharged rent! I even heard about cars being stolen and a girl being raped here! This scares the hell out of me just hearing this! My neighbor had told me that she was afraid to even go to her car at night, at it's only a few feet from her front door!

6) I was renting a home prior to moving in here (which was only a few miles away), and I found myself SHOCKED at my first water bill, thinking, "This must be a horrible mistake!" Much to my surprise, this was normal. Our water bill was always at least $110 to $160, and before, I own a home 3 times the size ouf my apartment, and the water bill was $18 a month! How can they JUSTIFY this cost'! Clearly, we were paying for the landscape watering, and this was evenly divided among all tenants, as it was explained by the office office as well NWP (the billing agency). There has got to be at least 300 units here. How could they justify everyone paying that high of a water bill!!!''' I've seen broken landscape irrigation running in the roadway for MONTHS, when this is obviously one reason that the water bill is so high. Again, this should prove the point that they don't care about their tenants or their expense to live here.

7) The STAFF MEMBERS should CLEARLY get their stories together because each one has their own excuse for ANY problem being addressed. I was informed upon giving my 30-day notice that we are required in the fine print on the contract ("lease") that we are required to give a 60-day notice, which we were never told! Clearly, ANOTHER tactic to charge me upon leaving for the ungiven remainder ("due to the contract")30-days notice, which is obviously another way to extort money.

And, along with a previous reviewer on here, I also noticed the four or five positive reviews in a row on or near the same day. It obviously appears to be the office staff counteracting the negative reviews on here...WHAT A JOKE that they have to stoop to that level, when all they have to do is to act professional and be morally responsible for their actions as well as their rules!!!

I can go on and ON about this (with dozens of more complaints), but I'm sure you've gotten the picture.
WARNING: BUY YOUR OWN CONTENT INSURANCE, NOT THEIRS, because in the fine print, this covers THEIR property and NOT yours.

I'm truly saddened to have to say this about any property group anywhere in America. I feel so bad for the people that live here and for the ones who will be living here in the future. I'm not surprised that the local governement, as well as online rental guides, rated this place an F!

Like so many other reviewers have said...STAY AWAY if you value your sanity and peace and you enjoy drama-free living.

Definitely, the WORST RENTAL PROPERTY AND STAFF EVER

I live here and I agree with everything that has been mentioned in this review. I feel for my safety each and every night I go out to walk my dog. It is so dark in the parking lot that I can' t see a thing. The other night I was out walking my dog and just about killed myself on the sidewalk that I could not see. If I fall and get hurt , I will OWN this place when I'm through with them!! All apartments should have proper lighting in the parking lot. I have complained but like always it falls on deaf ears. We will be moving when our lease is up. We are already looking around for a better apartment to live in. I have friends that live here too and they are moving when their lease is up due to all mentioned above.
