Metro Manor Apartments

Metro Manor is a nice place! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 4/2/2004 Years at this apartment: 1987 - 2004   I have lived at Metro Manor since 1987 - longer than all of you who have written notes on this site. The current management has always been willing to assist me whenever needed. The best example is the toilet problem mentioned in a previous message because that happened to me this week. Lisa and the maintenance crew did not stop until the problem was resolved. That is how it has always been for me. I mention a problem and it is taken care of. I treat her with respect and I get that back. Plumbing problems' This building is older and things go wrong. That just how life is - that is not a management problem. Lisa and the current maintenance staff have done more than ever before to make this building more attractive. The basement now has carpet. The halls are cleaned and maintained on a daily basis. The elevators have been made more attractive. Each apartment is carpeted and it is replaced when necessary. This sturdy building was built in 1963 when they used REAL concrete and steel. I feel safe because a fire could not spread apartment to apartment since concrete does not burn. During the tornado of 1997, there were a few broken windows here, but the building did not budge - because it is solid as a rock. Bugs' If I am asked about this building, I first say that I have had few problems with bugs. The times that I have seen a bug, again I tell management about it and the exterminator comes, usually the next day, and the problem is solved. Bugs are bound to be an occasional problem when you move to a downtown urban area. But, that a simple matter to resolve. Call the office and tell them. They do not want bugs in the building either. The exterminator will be here ASAP. There are 12 opinions on this web site at this point. Check with the approx. 150 other residents before you believe the negative comments. You will find out that Metro Manor is a decent, clean building downtown with decent residents who are happy to call this home.
