Metro Manor Apartments

I Love it here. From: MM_is_nice Date posted: 4/5/2004 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2004   The negative posting from 2-15 and 4-2-04 seem to be from the same person. I would expect that he/she is probably being evicted. The management has done a great job in kicking out troublemakers as well as deadbeats. When I moved in a year ago, there were several people running around annoying other tenants with their pot smoking, loud parties and complete disregard for the comfort of other tenants. The management kicks these people out immediately. The claim by this person that they have lived here prior to 1980 is false. There is only one tenant that has been here that long and she is 83 and doesn't own a computer. I have only seen 1 bug in the past year and the exterminator was at my apartment the next day. The management asked me a 2 weeks later if I had any other problem. I have had excellent service from maintenance. Once I had a water leak at 10:00 pm and the maintenance man was on site within an hour to fix it. Anything I have ever asked for was taken care of immediately. As for noise, welcome to urban living. Anytime you live downtown you are going to hear sirens, trains, streetsweepers, etc. The building is old, but in good shape. The groundskeeper and cleaning lady do a great job of cleaning up everyday. If SOME tenants had the common courtesy to put their trash in the trashcan, there would be even less to clean. Some floors do have an aroma from ethnic cooking, but this is a diverse resident base with people from all over the world. The apartments have lots of closets. The utility bills are extremely low(concrete building). Parking can be tricky sometimes, but for the most part you can dodge parking tickets by watching the meter 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. It is by far the best value of any apartment complex downtown. You get much more space and amenities for the money.
