We rented here for seven months and it was a nightmare. The neighbors were louder than a three ring circus and management couldn't have cared less. It seems as though more and more miscreants keep moving in, while exemplary tenants continue to leave in droves. Hence, there are no good ones left. Several empty promises were made by members of the front office who seem amiable before you move in, but totally oblivious to your concerns once your lease actually begins. The gate was broken for months without repair even though letters were sent from management promising a remedy within weeks. The laundry and workout facilities are constantly in need of maintenance and never receive any attention. You have a better chance of Bob Villa showing up to fix problems in your apartment than the actual Archstone maintenance crew. And before you inevitably leave, the inept employees will try and find any excuse to make you fork over more money. Make damn sure you record all blemishes the day you move in, or plan on one hell of a hefty final payment. And the neighborhood itself keeps getting worse. I certainly wouldn't want to raise a family in a complex where car break-ins and unlawful activity have become the norm. You'd be well advised to stay away from Archstone in any area of town, but I can speak from experience that Briley is a major no-no. Look elsewhere, or prepare for your most unpleasant experience since puberty.
