(Now Mission Priest Lake) Do Not Move Here

Sit back and please read! I have been a resident of Mission Priest Lake for 5 months now. When I first signed my lease, the staff was very friendly and willing to help with anything that I had asked. Oddly enough, that same staff, including the manager, had all left within weeks of each other and in came a completely new staff--which was fine. That is when the trouble began. The air conditioner unit in my apartment went out and it took 2 weeks for them to fix it (remember, this is August!). Days after that, my apartment sustained water damage from a water heater that burst above my unit. The walls were stained and it smelled awful. They came in a week later and painted over the stained walls and didn't clean the carpet. The paint was totally different from the original and the appearance was worthless. I was then told that I could transfer to another apartment free of charge, only to see that the new apartment was worst than the old one! There were cigarette butts scattered on the balcony, the bathroom smelled of mold and the wall behind the toilet was bubbled and appeared to be painted over unsuccessfully, the shower/bathtub was severely chipped and looked awful, and numerous other problems that are too long to mention. When I notified the property manager that I wasn't happy with the condition of the "new" apartment, I was told, "There's nothing I can do. These are old units and this stuff happens. We've done all we can do for you." I ended up signing an early termination form to end my lease and I have a few more weeks before it's time for me to move elsewhere. Please, if you consider moving to Mission Priest Lake, don't. The model home is nothing like where they will put you so don't waist your time. The new management is clueless and have no compassion for their residents. One more thing--After going out of town on business, I came home only to find my sliding door opened (which I had locked before I left) and several DVDs, two pair of expensive hair clippers, and cologne stolen from my apartment! Once again, please do not consider staying here. If you like break-ins, people loitering all hours of the night, an incompetent management staff, horrible units, and poor landscaping, this is the place for you.
