I lived at The Players Club for many years, almost five, and only moved due to a job transfer. I have rented at many other apartment complexes and I truly do not know why someone would not recommend this community! I loved living there and the office staff is wonderful. The majority of them have been there for years so you always knew with whom you were talking too, they even remember your name when you came in the door!
With that said I would like to address the three negative reviews and hopefully shed some light on these comments made.
The first one titled:
"Poor Management- hope you don't have a problem"...
If this particular management operates like many others than it must be because there are policies and procedures that are standard in the apartment industry! So, what is the problem' Why is management to blame if this person did not read their contract'! As far as the prices being high, well obviously, this person knew the price before moving into the complex, and they made their choice. So, I ask again, what is the problem' The only valid purpose this review provides someone is the advice to read contracts carefully, which is excellent advise in all areas of your life! Ever tried canceling a cell phone contract'!' What a nightmare!
The second review titled:
Terrible Management...
All I can say about this review is you cannot please them all! It seems "they" wanted an exception made just for "them" because "they" had a job transfer. I really must wonder if this review would have been written if "they" had received "special" treatment when "they" terminated "their" lease. I am happy to see that management treats all people the same and adheres to the lease agreement. I too had to terminate my lease and because I had read my lease, I knew exactly what I had to do and I had no problems. I even got my full deposit back, which never happened in the past with other apartment complexes. But imagine how I would have felt if my neighbor did not have to abide by the same penalties that I did!
The third review titled:
Awful Place to Live...
I must address the complaint of the apartments NOT HAVING alarms, sprinklers, gates, or guards. Well, the complex does not advertise that they DO HAVE all these things so why did they move in' Why didn't they rent an apartment that OFFERED all of these things if that was what was important to them' Once again, they made their choice and now want to blame the complex. In regards to the apartments being "old & smelly", let me just say I was in several of my neighbors apartments and none of them smelled or looked old. So maybe it is more of a housekeeping issue instead of an overall problem with the apartments. Besides they should have seen their apartment before moving in. So why did they move in' Again they decided to take the apartment then complain about it and blame management. As far as the neighborhood, crime and safety, this person made the decision as to what area and apartment complex they wanted to live in, management cannot control what happens in the entire neighborhood! As for me I found the area to be very quiet, well lit and overall a really good area of town. Maybe they should have rented a "bubble", since they have issues living in "the real world"! Things can happen anywhere, try living in Houston!
I truly hope this will help you make a good decision in choosing a place to live whether it is at The Players Club or another apartment complex. And take it from a long time renter read your contracts, abide by the guidelines, and take the time to get to know the office staff and you should not have a problem with any apartment complex.
