At first glance, Point Breeze seems like a nice apartment complex, but until you have lived there, you'll wish you would have put your monthly rent towards a down payment on your own house instead.
The management is satisfactory, although nothing special. The assistant manager is overly friendly to the point of being fake and tries to catch every wrong action so you can be charged extra every month.
Parking is a nightmare. You pay $20 for a parking permit, $10 for each additional car you have to ensure you get a spot in front of your building. Half the time, I have to park in visitor parking because vehicles (some of which do not even have permit stickers on their windshields) have occupied those spots. This policy needs to be stressed a lot more and reinforced.
Maintenance does a good job...when you can get a hold of them. It's an automated answering service where you leave a message and if it's an emergency, they will get back to you ASAP which often times is not at your convenience. The heating unit in my apartment was not functioning and we left a message for maintenance. We kept leaving messages when about 5 days later, the property manager took matters into her own hands and sent someone down to our 50 degree freezing apartment.
You can definitely make a better investment than living here. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give Point Breeze a 2.

I am sorry that you have not had a positive experience living at Point Breeze. Our parking is still a first come first serve basis, even with the permits. I have never been able to guarantee a space directly in front of your apartment building. However, if I am made aware of multiple cars parking in front of your building without permits, I can have the courtesy officer keep a close eye on your area and tow all violators. I used to enforce this rule to the strictest degree. During that time more residents were upset causing the issue to be worse than when I didn't have permits or towed vehicles. Therefore, I have the rules and enforce them as necessary. I am sorry about your heat. I am glad that I was able to assist you with this concern. I do know there was a problem with a vendor about getting parts for your unit. If you continue to have any maintenance needs or parking concerns please feel free to contact me. We do have a new maintenane supervisor on staff and he is doing wonderful! Together we are working hard to take care of any incomplete work requests.
