I recently moved from Polo Park apartments this past weekend and I went to the office Mon. to turn in my keys. However, the next day I noticed that I had given them the wrong mailbox keys (they were identical to my mailbox keys at my new apartment) I went back to the office at Polo Park and I explained the mix-up to the apartment manager since she was the one I had turned my keys into the day before. She looked at me like I was crazy and then she turns around and yells at another leasing agent "I don't know what she is talking about, I am confused!" She then storms off. The leasing agent and other potential renters looked like "what is going on" (we were in the middle of the office) and I stood there wondering what her problem was and shocked by how rude she was to me. Finally another agent asked me if I needed any help and I explained the situation, she went and got my keys and switched them out without any problem. I cannot believe they expect for people to pay all that money to lease from them and receive that type of treatment! That is the reason why I moved from that dump! I've always been on time with my rent, so to be treated with disrespect AGAIN by the staff for a mix-up was uncalled for.
While I was living there, I would call the staff for minor repairs that were needed in the apartment and they would never get fixed. I finally talked to David (he is the only one in the office that is courteous and will get things done) and told him about repairs that needed to get fixed in the apartment and that I had called several times within the past four months. He looked in the repair book and the repairs were NEVER recorded. The next day he had someone over to take care of things. If you have any problems, I would suggest contacting him before anyone else in the office!
I had talked to another neighbor of mine before I left and she told me that she had transferred apartments within Polo Park a few months earlier. She said that she had contacted the office numerous times to get her deposit, each time she was told something different until she was finally told that they did not give deposits back! She told me that she tried talking to the manager and again she was told the same things, it has been three months and she still have not received her deposit back and most likely she will not get it back. Who knows if I will get mine' I would HIGHLY suggest for anyone to think carefully before moving to Polo Park. The staff is conducting business unprofessionally and some of the things that they are doing are unethical and illegal (ex. Forcing people out of their apartments so that remodeling can be completed) I am so glad that my stay there is over. I've had too many countless experiences with them (please reading "warning do not move here" post) I would suggest for anyone to move to ANY complex in the area besides this one.

I totally understand your problems. I ran out of toilet paper once and they would not even lend me a roll ! I had diarreah and could not make it to the toilet in time and got it on my carpet and they would not help me !!
