Disney and Pixar depicted them as cute and cuddly, I truly beg to differ. All of those lovely big screen critter actors have lived in my apartment since day one and even delayed my move in. I tried for quite some time to try and move here. I fell in love with the grounds, the size of the apartments, the price (which I know now that no two identical units pay the same price up to a $350 varible)and the "friedly staff" (reality is that it is an act to sell this dive). No two stories are alike, here that is not differnt. Regional AIMCO tells you one thing, property mgmt tell you another, bug busters yet another. When signing my lease I was told that the non refundable pet deposit was a flat $500 regadless of the 1 or 2 pets in the apartment. Additional pet rent was $10 a month per pet. Well as soon as we notified them of the bugs, they insisted that our animals were bringing them in and that we brought them from our old place (when we never have had bug problems) Quickly we mysteriously owed another $500 for our second animal and pet rent went up to $20 per pet per month. The size of the place is great. Love all the room, but renters beware there are roaches in every corner of the place and 1 raoch is 1 too many. OUr bug problems has diminished significantly, but only as soon as a lawsuit was threatened and the TN dept. of Health got involved. So if you like lving with bugs, collect bugs or think that they are just as adorable as Disney makes them out to be, by all means this is the place for you. Post Ridge reminds me a of a song from The Secret Garden which kind of goes something like this: "High on a hill sits a big ole' house with something wrong inside it, roaches haunt the halls and management makes no effort to fix it".
