Post Ridge Apartments was one of the worst experiences I have ever had, in a rental unit. Unlike some others, I found it quite expensive.
Repairs usually were non-existent. You reported something, and it was only possibly looked at, (very possibly not too), one time, and you were told they'd be back the next day or so. But then 3 months later they still weren't "back". Nor were they 6 months later, regardless of how many times you call or write.
In the wintertime the heating is terrible! Mgmt says its poor insulation and they can't do anything about that. So you sleep with two sweatshirts on, and maybe a knit cap, and very heavy blankets, because you can't get parts of the apartment above 60 degrees.
Utility Bills too are sky high and its true that no two people pay the same price. A lot of that has to do with whether you complain or not, in my opinion. If you do, they may astound you with the increases, penalties, etc. (designed to get you to move on).
The water stank like a sewer and they claimed it was only chlorine from the Water Company, when it smelled far from chlorine. So of course nothing was ever done about it. Only 1 Bathroom of 2 was ever fully functional.
My car was vandalized twice in the very crowded parking lot with huge scratches in the paint. Others were broken into and vandalized a lot worse. Kids were very noisey, rowdy and always screaming and yelling. They don't seem to have much to do other than just hang out, outside your door. Even big kids.
I had repair complaints in place for almost 2 years and nobody ever addressed many of them at all. Their maintenance staff is also quitting and turning over all the time, and they often are all but without. Management also turned over a few times.
I contend that some of these posters are absolutely Management of the Apartment Units, part of AIMCO, which is widely known for cutting major corners, at the cost of residents.
To praise the place the way they do, is just ludicrous and far from realistic. If you want to know more just do an internet search with "AIMCO complaints". You'll see what I mean.
DON'T MOVE HERE! You will regret that, the entire time you spend as a tenant. And you?ll want out.
I hate giving a report like this, but it could be much worse if I were to elaborate more. So unfortunately it is definitely deserved.
