RENTERS NIGHTMARE

I lived at Post Ridge for a year and it was a complete nightmare from beginning to end. Had someone informed me that I would be disrespected and mistreated by the office staff and ignored by the maintenance staff, I would have never leased there. The Property Manager Kimberly Corbett is the by far the most unprofessional, uneducated and unhelpful person I have leased from before. She does not treat the residents with respect and many of my neighbors told me horror stories of their encounters with this woman. Her assistant Kimberly Isiminger is very rude and has a very smart mouth. She is lazy and on several occasions my husband or I would give her a service request and days would go by and nobody ever showed up to fix anything. We would have to call the office and follow up to find out what was going on and why it was taking so long, to find out the service requests were never entered into the system. The quality of many of the residents is questionable and left me wondering if some of these people really qualify to live there. They state they do background checks but my neighbor told me that one of the Kimberly's told her not to put her boyfriend on the application if he had a felony on his record. That made us feel really good. We were living next door to a felon. If you drive through this community at any given time of morning or late afternoon, you will notice the overwhelming amount of small children and teenagers hanging out in the streets unsupervised by their parents. They will not let you get through the streets with your car so you can get home. It's horrible. We went several weeks with no AC or heat during a supposed "upgrade" of the HVAC system. There are large aggressive breed dogs all over the property but they told us when we did our lease signing that they do not allow agressive animals. Nobody picks up after their pets so there is feces all over the grounds and children cannot play or walk in the yard. Channel 4 news did a story at this community a couple months ago because a girl got stabbed in the neck and arm inside her apartment by an intruder. All this to say, we have recently moved out and would never recommend this community to anyone. Save yourself the nightmare! No deal is worth the hell these people will put you through.

"What resident would use the term HVAC?" Actually, I would. I was a resident twice at Post Ridge-the first time being adequate, if noisy, the second time being the reason I moved out and swore-never again. I don't think it's out the stretch of the imagination to use "AIMCO lingo" when that's the lingo used in the excuse you hear for why something hasn't been done-repeatedly. For example, I had to call 6 times to try to get a leaky faucet fixed. And yes, I was told that the reason it was taking so long was that someone "didn't put the service request in the system." Go figure. The faucet was finally replaced, as well as the shower insert. Too bad that the work was never finished, the shower was never sealed (so it couldn't be used), the room was spackled but never repainted, and the ceiling light fixture was taken down and remained missing until the day I moved out. Back to the HVAC issue-mine was not only disconnected for days on end, but giant holes were ripped in the walls and ceilings in multiple rooms-and left there. I was instructed (or rather, ordered) to empty my master bedroom closet to make way for the work order, so I did. Guess what??wrong closet. There are two-the work order wasn't specific, so they threw my things all over the bedroom. "Although "threw" is probably not the official AIMCO lingo, it should be-since that's exactly what they did. They also sprayed ceiling coating in multiple rooms without warning me that they would do so-so that I would move my things out of the rooms. They also sprayed without covering up any of the items. That means I had to buy a new bathrobe, new towels, new toiletries (including my electric toothbrush) as well as a new bathroom rug and shower curtain??all of which were ruined by the overspray. Don't pretend that Post Ridge is anything close to the image they try to portray online or in any of the apartment magazines. It's not a spa, or a retreat, or an enclave in the forests of Bellevue. It's a noisy, littered dump, plain and simple. Make that an expensive dump while we're at it. And as far as the staff, I have no real comment one way or the other. I can say that if they had any sense of pride whatsoever in their workplace and the product they are selling, they wouldn't work at Post Ridge. Personally, I couldn't do it and keep a straight face.
