I lived at Priest Lake from 1997 - 2001, and, although it was a decent apt. for someone starting out who doesn't make a huge salary, it had a lot of flaws.

The property is old, and the management response to maintenance needs was inconsistent. Power would go out in the whole building frequently, and once, it was out for 3 days!!

My one-bedroom apt. was huge, but it had a lot of problems. The bathroom had zero ventillation, and the shower would mold very easily on the tile and the ceiling - I called maintenance after I failed to remove most of the mold, and they couldn't remove it, either! There was mold creeping up the windows in my bedroom, and I had major plumbing problems during my tenancy.

The neighbors were shifty - a lot of drugs in the area. I never felt in danger, but it certainly wasn't the safest place in Nashville. I'd take out my garbage and would be confronted by a drunk elderly neighbor, asking me to come "party" with him. Not nice.

There were no assigned parking spots, so anyone could invite 50 of their closest friends over, and you'd get stuck parking down at the next building.

The walls were thin even living in the basement, and I would wake up most mornings to old Madonna songs or Michael Jackson's Thriller in my ear. My neighbors had problems, and I would frequently see a young girl with a disability sitting in front of their front door, crying.

The rent was reasonable, and the square footage was generous, but I wouldn't recommend this complex to a family. Plenty of other complexes in SE Nashville that would provide a safter, more pleasant home.
