I will start with the postive. The management was helpful. If something went wrong in your apartment they were there to fix it and did a good job. My apartment did not have any issues with bugs.

The apartment was not very insulated and the electric bill would be very high, well over 100.00 dallars sometimes for a one bedroom. The air conditioner was loud, but you got use to it and the plains flying overhead was loud. When I was there, the couresty office was very rude and lazy and did not want to assit you. He acted as if you were bothering him because he had to get off his lazy tail and walk to your apartment.Once I called because of the people above me. To this day I have no idea what was going on, but they would slam things and in the middle of the night it felt like my celing would cave in on me. I complained several times and nothing was done about it.I was told that they would have to hear it first to do anything about it. So one afternoon the noise started in and I called and the couresty came to my apartment and when I opened the door he said I do not hear any thing and I said you need to come in and when he did I had a pet rabbit, which the management knew about, I even took the rabbit to the office sometime so it was well known I had a rabbit. Instead of assisting me with the noise issue all he could do was question me about my rabbit, I then stated to him that he was not there to discuss my pets but to do something about the noise above me. He then said that he would arrest me for disorderly conduct. I then ask him to leave, he said that he was going to call the office about my rabbit and I said go for it as I slammed the door in his face.
I called the office about his conduct and they said that they would do something about it. Which I dont know what happended because I would never allow this person near me again. I also had spoken to others that lived there and they had issues with him as well. I was very angry that the management did not fire him, but I guess they did not have many cops that wanted to live there and having him was better than no-one.
I think they finally fired him.
I finally found a job that paid good money and I got the He** out of there. To this day I shudder when I think of that awful place. I had more bad expirences than good. But when you do not have to pay a lot of rent you are going to have to live with "Trash".

I am so glad that I a finally home owner.

The rent is cheap however you make it up by the high electric bills. Also the neighborhood has gone down hill. I do not recommend that a single woman live there.
I highly recommend that you do your homework before getting an apartment. Its great that we have web sites like this one. This way you are getting opinions from people who have live there.

ok when u say trash what do you mean by that because, the apartments look very nice to me and i have been there before to visit a friend and the apartment was fine. But i would like to know what you mean when you say that

Well Kristen you say you just visited???? Well I lived there for 6 years I feel I know more about the complex than someone who is just visiting. You ask what is trash. People that have no respect for anybody, going to my car in the morning and seeing beer bottles stuffed in the bushes, trash thrown in the parking lot. Loud music all hours of the night, should I continue??? I did say that South Brook a nice complex as far as the management and for the apartment its self. But its the people that make it a bad place to live. All I can say the night mare still lingers in my mind and thank goodness I got a good paying job and now a proud home owner in a nice part of Nashville. Hope I answered your questions.
