The worst experience ever

As an independent full time college student and full time grad student, I felt that Southbrook was very affordable. I was very dissappointed after I signed my lease...Squirrels constantly crawled through the airvent making scratching noises. The hall ways constantly smelled(once there was dog feces in the stairwell), the airplanes flying overhead woke me up in the night, the management was very lazy, sarcastic, and talked behind other tenants behind their backs(wonder what they said about me!).The management was the main reason I wanted out in my first month. When I complained about the squirrels they claimed that it was baby birds and that the maintenance man would come to exterminate them but did I really want to kill the birds( good ole sarcasm).Items such as my stove and refrigerator did not work properly and when I moved out they charged ME to make the repairs to these items(after months and months of me telling them they did not work properly) and they also charged me for lightbulbs($3 a pop) and any other minor flaw they could find. The apartments look decent but there are many flaws. For instance, the countertops have like 5 layers of paint on them, so any sudden movement will cause a scratch(I was charged for this also!). The sliding closets always unhinge themselves and the list goes on. I would like to warn every apartment seeker NOT to go to Southbrook, especially those young women out there trying to make it in this world. Its a shame when people falsely advertise a quiet, peaceful community but are instead looking out for their own greedy pockets.
