I have lived here for nearly 2-1/2 years, and the management and surrounding neighborhood continues to worsen. my car was ruined in their parking lot and they wouldn;t do anything about it to prosecute the people involed. However, when I came to them desperate for a jump start on the day of my college finals, the management refused, stating that if they helped me and something happened to my car they wouldn't want to be held liable. They left me stranded. Anytime I come to them, they remind me of every tiny stipulation they can think of, all with an evil grin and Chrstian music in the background. What a bad testimony. I'm tired of this treatment.

In addition to terrible management, the living conditions do not even meet building codes!!! The carpet should have been replaced decades ago. I don't dare walk on it barefoot. When we moved in, the sliding door was broken and was fixed in a shoddy way. Rather than replace the kitchen counter, they slapped some paint on top of it and called it good. The walls are smeared with dirty hand prints and the floor has vomit on the steps. The new door took 2-3 months to go up, and we were left with cold winter air blowing into our building. The new door is very difficult to open, and I have a hard time with it, especially with groceries.

The managemnt here clearly only care about stipulations and THEIR bottom line. While not necessarily in their control,the neighborhood has also gown way downhill in 2 years. I have had to witness drug deals, someone in my building got mugged, and I was stalked twice! I am not comfortable living here, and am trying to get a house ASAP. I tell everyone I can to avoid this area. It's a hell hole!!!

My best friend just moved to a one bedroom at southbrook. Another tenant that she ran into told her that women have been raped there and she should never have moved in. Do you know if there is any truth to this? If this apartment complex and neighborhood really is dangerous I want to do what I can to get her out.

Definately get her out of there!!! We have recieved NUMEROUS letters on our door announcing that another person has been raped, mugged or attacked. It a horrible place to be. I am married and feel like I have to call my husband to come meet me at my car to walk to our apartment when I come home after dark. I've had a few close calls, and would have definitely been attacked had it not been for my husband being there at the right time. It's dangerous. We're actually moving out in a few weeks to a safer neighborhood. I hope your friend will be okay. Make sure she gets plenty of mace and watches her surroundings. Dangerous men like to hide around unlit corners of the buildings and wait for unsuspecting women. It's terrifying!

Just remember there is always two sides to every story. I've never seen a lease agreement that said it was the apartment communities responsibility to jump someone's car. What will they do now that they are purchasing a home, call the mortgage company? If you would like to contact the South Precinct about the supossed rape on the property they would be happy to give you more details. Thanks

I do feel you on your life story, howver you are resposible for your own car da.... and how do you think they are suppose to think they are to stop there job to help. They would have prob if they were not so busy fixen up the grounds buildings and pool area.Get a life!!Fix your own problems and be an adult about it. Southbrook is great sorry for your troubles.
