I am AMAZED at the review I just read regarding The Stahlman and its staff. My guess is that someone either rented in a building over his/her head financially or is one of those folks that can only thrive with turmoil. The Stahlman is a lovely and, most certainly, a secure home. If there were checks lying around on a desk, I do not believe they were careless otherwise rents would not be paid and folks would be evicted. Plus, I do not know of better security than we have at The Stahlman. ANYONE in the office could ONLY be there with the staff. The office is locked when the staff is out and you cannot get into the building unless you are a resident or were permitted access from the office staff or by a resident. Identity thieves are very smart people, and if they want your identity they are going to get it without the assistance of checking account information. I also cannot understand the anger over a receipt. I have never received a receipt from any apartment management. Your check is a receipt and, again, such ado about nothing is just evidence of the Complainer's need to have turmoil in his/her life to survive. The walls are NOT like paper. There is NOT construction in the building all of the time. There is, however, construction in the downtown area and I honestly do not know why someone would think this is controllable or the fault of The Stahlman. Is there noise' Yes, you can hear exterior noise, but I assure you as a person who has lived downtown in another building there is NO way around this issue even with airport glass. If you're going to live downtown you should expect city noise. The interior of the building does echo in the hallways and there are times when a resident(s) is too loud. However, you cannot hear your neighbors anymore than any other multi-housing facility and, in fact, less than many. If you want to live in a historical building with high ceilings and mosaic tile work, you must expect certain adversities that are really minute. Additionally, as someone who never lived in apartments before 2003 (The Stahlman is my third) BELIEVE me when I tell you NOTHING can be worse than those standard apartment complexes. The Stahlman could be 100% less than what it is and still be better than most. As to the management/staff, I want to first point out that while one of the ladies (Holly) is naturally blonde, she is FAR from stupid, ditzy, bubble-headed or any other ugly adjective one might use; our other staff member (Vannessa) is certainly not blonde and I would suggest that the Complainer obtain an urgent color blindness test or rethink his/her descriptive hair color insults. Further, the remarks regarding blondes (I am not) is the very indication that the complainers education far exceeds his/her intelligence. Such comments are old and tired and, even if true, would be better expressed utilizing a dictionary if you have no other vocabulary of your own. Quite contrary to our Complainer's comments, these ladies are educated, professional, pleasant and will bend over backward if it will help you. They both jumped through hoops to assist in my relocation to the Stahlman, and believe me when I tell you it is not because of my income of the apartment or rent. I can guarantee that I live in the least expensive and smallest apartment in the building. I am not an upper income earner and I have no powerful position or connections, so I scarcely think they had ulterior motives in helping me. As to the space in a one bedroom apartment, they are larger than most one bedroom apartments, and the studios at The Stahlman are lovely. I would also point out that Mr./Ms. Complainer rented the apartment they now complain about -- were they too ignorant to recognize the amount of space or measure' I can only assume that the party who wrote such an ugly report is a person who is miserably unhappy and wants everyone else to be unhappy, too. I too hope that the Complainer s lease expires soon. I do not want to be a neighbor to anyone this negative, uneducated, ignorant and mean. I do not want someone as a neighbor insulting my home either. Additionally, it is just this kind of person who damages common areas in various ways and, then, expects someone to clean up after them so that the building is pristine. Hey, maybe if he/she ask, The Stahlman will release him/her from the lease and he can move two (2) miles away as he/she wishes.
