There has been a change in management recently and they have begun treating the tenants with what I can only describe as utter disrespect. While the apartments and grounds are wonderful and the atmosphere is desirable, I cannot suggest that anyone seek residence there until the building gets a new manager and a new owner. I am currently being forced out of my apartment for having a dog, which I already had their permission to own. Several tenants have also complained about similar treatment and many have had to seek legal action against the complex. I've also had my apartment broken into and car vandalized, neither of which sparked any change in the way the building is managed. Stay away from Sterling Court!

I have read this and I am the new property manager, and am quite surprised by this tenant's comments. As the manager, I am here everyday from 9 am until 5 pm or later, and live here as well, which is why it is such a concern if there where cars being broken into or vandalized, I hope that the residents here would come and let me know. There has to my knowledge, never been an apartment broken into, if so, there would've been a police report filed, and I would've been notified. I have been here since March of this year and have never had such a report. There has not been legal action taken against this complex, and the tenants here are our community and we value everyone! I personally cleaned their apartment before they moved in and did everything within my power to make them happy, and as a result had a good relationship with them until now. They made the decision to get a dog without inquiring if that would be okay, when it is plainly stated in their lease that without the dog being approved, and there not being a deposit for the animal, than that animal is not permitted to stay. Most complexes in Nashville don't allow dogs at all, we try to work with the residents here and ask that it be under a certain weight and the process is respected. This tenant is unfortunately upset and was given a choice to stay without the dog, or be given a moveout option. I feel bad for this particular person, but even with the lease being broken and after a very rude confrontation with him, as well as this upsetting review, his security deposit is still being refunded which we do not do. If bending over backwards to make the worst situation a bit better, and truly being here for the residents of Sterling Court isn't "respecting" them, then I really don't know what is. We take pride in people here being happy to live at Sterling, that is what we are all about, that is what makes it such an amazing place to live.

I am a tenant at Sterling Court and I am Angry and annoyed at the comment posted by this former tenant! The new manager goes above and beyond what is required of her. She is fair and honest and really works hard at bringing our community together. She cares about her job and the integrity of the people of Sterling court. I moved here from out of state and the manager did everything in her power to make my transition as easy and stress free as possible. The woman took 20 different pictures of my apartment for me(because I was moving site unseen)and sent them so I could see exactly what everything looked like. She provided me with helpful info about Nashville via emails and phone calls and basically made herself available to me 24 7 with whatever questions I needed to be answered. When I arrived on my move in date she had left a lovely note, hand soaps and an iron holder in my apartment. Our gounds are breathtaking it is like living in my own private park. The apartments are charming each with their own unique quality. The best part about it are the people! I have never met more unique, caring, creative, talented individuals(including management) in my life. We are a family here and obviously the person who posted the complaint didn't belong here in Sterling Court anyway.
