From Fantastic to Terrible Place

These past few months have been terrible for us. When we moved here in 2005, we were sure we'd found the best deal in Nashville. The staff was friendly, grounds were well maintained, and the neighbors were quiet and friendly.
Oh, how things changed have changed! The office staff has gone from great to utterly rude. Anytime I'm in the office, there is always a different person working and they can never seem to answer my questions, no matter how simple the questions are. High turnover, which tells you something about the management company.
Parking has always been an issue, but we've let it slide by as one of the things you have to deal with when living in an apartment. The situation has gotten worse by the abandoned cars in front of our building that seem to pile up. At last count, there were 3 and a trailer. Office staff has been informed, even with license plate numbers, but has done nothing to correct the situation. We haven't had a maintenance issue in a while-- thank God because I'm not sure things would be taken care of. We've had mice and a variety of bugs over the past two years as well.
Immediate neighbors are still quiet, but the people in other buildings don't understand the meaning of "echo", or they don't mind that their partying noises bounce off the buildings. Also, children waiting for the bus in the morning, I saw a group throwing ROCKS at passing cars. Cops have been spotted more frequently as of late. Clintele has taken a turn for the worse, unfortunately.
My roommate and I are young professionals that rarely complain about anything, but it's gotten to the point where we don't want to go home anymore. Between the crappy (but free) washer and dryer and the moldy smell that comes through the vents, there really aren't any reasons to stay there.
The grounds are charming and alluring, but don't be fooled! You'll regret ever signing the lease, no matter what kind of "discounts" they offer you. In the time that I've lived there, I've never observed them cleaning any of the pools or changing out the water, even at the end of the pool season.
If you have any questions, talk to the residents before signing a lease to get the real scoop.

They clean out the pools often. There are plenty of things wrong with this place, but that's not one of them. They probably do it when you're at work.
