good and bad

There?Ls a strange atmosphere about this place that makes you feel like you?Lre in a hotel rather than an apartment. The staff is pretty friendly in general and competent, though sometimes a bit lazy. The head concierge is very professional. There?Ls plenty of room (I had a two bedroom) and plenty of closet space. You?Lre right next door to a decent coffee shop and the main public library.
It can get a bit loud at times, I didn?Lt expect there to be so many students there considering how pricey it is, and like others here have said it can be a bit like living in a dorm at times, kids playing their stereo too loud, drunken frat boys who can?Lt handle their liquor stumble in at night.
One really annoying thing is that at least in my apartment you can smell the sewage system cleaning itself. It always happens late at night. And in the morning you can hear the water pipes run when someone else is showering or using the sink in the apartment above.
The main problem is simply downtown Nashville. The only thing the place is convienient to is a few bars and restaurants (three decent Japanese restaurants are within three blocks). Everything shuts down after dark, and there are only three stores in the area, no grocery stores. Out of town people might not realize this.
I?Ld only live there again if I could afford one of the larger apartments upstairs or if Nashville?Ls downtown life ever improved. The main benefit should be it?Ls location, but downtown Nashville is so lame and touristy it negates that benefit.
