Oh boy, where to start. Management is superficially friendly and will try to be cool with you in a how-can-i-best-maximize-my-profits kind of way.

After I moved in (and when it became time to actually sign the papers), at first refused to honor the lease dates that we agreed to more than a month ago over the phone. I had to explain that the length of the lease was a major selling point for me, and eventually they acquiesced and ended up keeping their word. And that was only on the first day.

There was never 24-hour concierge service, even though they advertised it on their website and in their paperwork.

Parking was a problem. I know a resident who used to consistently be without a spot when he returned after 11pm because management admittedly "oversold the spots." Now, there's enough space for residents, but visitors are towed frequently and have to park elsewhere.

And, speaking of parking, the garage was plagued by a series of break-ins/thefts at one point, the kind that never happened when there was a 24-hour concierge. And management discouraged residents from talking about it.

Additionally, read your lease carefully. Mine contained a 60-day automatic renewal clause that I didn't even know was there (until i was sent notice, with only 45 days left). I thought management would let it slide, as we had let them slide on things like the concierge service and they still had plenty of time to find someone else for the apartment, but they wouldn't budge. So apparently, the fake smiles last only as long as management's bank isn't threatened.

On the positive side though:
The (12th floor) apartment had a pretty good view of the city, and the concierges they did have were especially friendly/helpful (and should be running the place if you ask me.)

In sum: if you play your cards right, you can do alright here. But, don't expect any favors from management (though they might expect some from you).

Oh, and I almost forgot: if you move in, bring some ear plugs. The city is constantly working on nearby streets (often on saturday/sunday mornings), and, lately, a neighboring parking garage has been under construction as well (often until 9 or 10 at night).
