the cumberland was a decent enough place to live until my car was stolen from the garage. when i got a rental the next day, mgt had the rental towed b/c it didn't have a parking pass (it was stolen along w/ my car). so when i went to management about the $75 tow charge, they refused to pay it b/c i "had been so irresponsible in not seeking a new parking pass" the day my car was stolen. fair enough. but if we are discussing responsibility, it took over a week for mgt to post any kind of notice for the other residents to be careful in the garage. my question is what if the next night, somebody had been attacked in that garage, unaware of that it is not a safe place' well, obviously mgt didn't feel it was important enough for the residents to know about it in a timely fashion. to their credit, they did reimburse me for the tow charge (after a pretty heated exchange) and they eventually posted a notice that a robbery took place. however, i was very happy to leave the cumberland . . . who wants to live in a place where mgt doesn't care about the personal safety of the residents'
