Good and bad

All apartments in general are a bummer. However, there are good points and bad ones. The management has been, on more than one occassion, a pain in the assets.
They sent a maintainence man in the middle of the day while my husband was sleeping, scared him half to death by barging in, knocked him down, then called for back up. The girl from the office phoned me at work and said there was a problem. I had to take the time to come all the way home for non-sense.
They charged me twice for my dog--once a money order, then a couple of checks.
There was a woman who lived underneath my unit who claimed she 'owned' the apartment complex. She would make a lot of noise at all hours, get drunk, and smash things in the wee hours of the morning. She was rude and nasty to us. She always tried to instigate fights. She also flushes her cats' mess down the toilet and it comes up into our unit and stinks up the place something awful.
Also, the outside is in dire need of paint and repair. I have the bigger of the 2 bedroom apartments, but couldn't fit a full size sofa in here.
The maintenance men came and fixed anything I asked right away. This was good.
Over all, the inside was pretty good and Iscrubbed it and kept it nice.
My roof leaked quite often, but they did repair this.
The water is paid for so there's no water bill--hooray.
Over all, I like living here, it's been pretty good as long as that girl below me is not at home. The other neighbors were very pleasant.
So far I have not experienced any crime, but we have seen the police cruising around often and some crimes taking place.
We tried to report a suspicious character to the management office, but they refused to hear our heads-up. It's on their hands, anyway.
