We rented from the Lakes from 2002-2006. The first year, the management was terrific; the property was well kept and the staff were attentive and professional.

By the time that we moved out, we had become unhappy with the environment in general. People routinely threw raucous parties at the hot tub and littered the property with their trash.

I even suprised a couple having sex in the hot tub at 6:30 in the morning on a Sunday walking my dog.

The "workout room" had the same crappy treadmills and this useless elyptical equipment.

The staff would sometimes need two or three calls before responding to requests.

It seems like the management company decided to cut corners, and it affected every area.

The last straw for us has been trying to get our pet deposit back. It was sent to the wrong address, and we are still fighting to get another check (three months later). We have made four phone calls so far, and still no check.

If I were you, I would look around before you settle on the Lakes.
