The Lakes is a beautiful place live.
And if you like living with roaches, then this is the place for you! There are huge roaches and bugs everywhere. My apartment is always very clean, but I still have had a huge roach problem. I know that my neighbors have had a problem with this as well.

Also, there have been a few cars broken in to. And a couple of years ago a man was fatally shot by Metro PD near the office. Some people play loud music in their apartments and cars at 3 am. Good luck getting sleep.

This is not an ideal complex for kids. There is no where for them to play. Also, there are dead ducks and squirrels on the driveways because people drive too quickly and dont see the large goose walking across the road. If I had kids I would be afraid to let them walk on the road.

The office and maintenance staff are pretty nice.

The fitness center is a joke. I've given up going in there. Last time I checked the equipment is outdated and most of it is broken.

One last complaint, if you live by a lake, you will hear the ducks all night.

It is a beautiful, well landscaped community. I love the watching the ducks on the lake. Just dont be blind sided by the beauty. Talk to current residents. Regardless of where you rent know what your getting into.
