I was sold on the floor plans that they had and since I had a roommate the cost of rent wasn't a problem. Once in the apartment, there were obvious things wrong like an obviously crooked light fixture and my tub was dirty. These were simple and could be fixed. When it came time to speak with the staff I felt they spoke to me like I was beneath them, as if I was getting on their nerves and they didn't have time to deal with me. I've come to notice that they put a lot of effort into recruiting but put zero effort into retention. My lease is 3 months from being up and I found a note on my door giving me 2 days to decide whether or not I wanted to renew my lease. What was so crazy is that I didn't get any incentive like other apartments give, you know, to give their residents a reason to stay. My incentive was that my rent would go up. I went out that same day to look for another apartment. The staff never seem to want to give me any assistance when I come into the main office. I usually get some type of attitude from them. They're usually short with me basically making me feel like I'm taking up their valuable time. A while back I went in to see if I could view a different apartment because I was planning on moving. I went and asked the girl at the first desk and she handed me some floor plans. I'd already spent time looking at floorplans and I also told her that I was a current resident. I also didn't ask for floor plans, I asked could I see the actual apartment of a certain floor plan. She acted like she didn't want to show me, so I said forget it. At that point I knew I wouldn't stay at the Lexington past my lease and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone... only because of the staff that work there. Nice apartments (small Living room) with very rude staff.
