Edmondson's most expensive slum

The Preserve is one of Nashville's worst and highest priced. There is NO parking after 4pm, they use an independent service for the water/sewer costs which is extrememly expensive- I had a 1BR and only stayed there 3 times a week as I had another place to stay and I never used the dishwasher and the water/sewer bill was always at least $45, usually more. They have cheap "water-saving" toilets that clog at least once a day, and it takes maintenance forever to come fix it, the maintenance men are really nice, just very bogged down with work because the units are so crappy. You can also expect to call multiple times with a service request b/c the office tricks are too lazy to pick up the radio and report it to maintenance or fill out a service requisition. The windows are poorly insulated so you have to turn the heat/air to the max to account for what's going out the cracks in the windows. You can actually see the blinds move on a windy day. There is a gate- but it NEVER works. Even when it does get fixed, the ingrates who live there/visit tailgate thru b/c they are too lazy to put in a code or use their card and break it again. The construction is shabby, if you live on the 1st or 2nd floor, it sounds like the people above you are going to come through the ceiling. The people with pets are too lazy to pick up their dogs crap which is deposited right by the stairwell. When I moved, they had decided to "remodel" which included adding some cheap appliances and a different (fake) tile in the bathroom and they wanted to raise rent by $106 for a 1 BR that already cost $744! The 2nd pool is a joke-- if they even open it up, it is always filthy. The main pool looks great- but you have to be out at the buttcrack of dawn to get a seat or a spot in the water even. Heaven forbid you have an Indian neighbor- you can expect to hear their screeching music any time they play it-- not because they are playing it loud, but because the walls are as thin as rice paper. Also count on smelling EVERYTTHING your neighbor is cooking. You can also count on seeing various -------- wandering around scoping cars. If you live in one of the last buildings-12, 13, or 14-- expect them to attempt to break into your car. They also use the agricultural preserve next door as a shortcut. The office staff is horrible- ESPECIALLY ------ she is rude and unprofessional. 2003-2005 when ------ (the previous manager) and ------- were there, things were different. I had signed a long lease and was therefore stuck there even after it all went to hell. The Preserve used to be a nice place, now it's a nightmare. Only move here if you want to be miserable and pay (A LOT) for it. I don't know why they call it the Preserve AT BRENTWOOD-- it should be called The Preserve at the BORDER. Pretty soon there'll be shootings just like next door in The Player's Club. Do yourself a favor and skip this side of town altogether, the quality of people over there is steadily declining.

I live there now...My fiance and I moved up here from Atlanta in August...We were pressured to find an apartment in 2 days. We thought The Preserve at Brentwood would be a wonderful place to stay. I was so wrong...The Managment in the front is EXTREMELY UNORGANIZED. I am so GLAD we found another APARTMENT where the STAFF is ORGANIZED and ON TOP of EVERYTHING!! WE will never look back at this HELL HOLE!!! If I knew what I know now...We would have never paid a DIME to live in these PIECE OF ----- APARTMENTS!!!

It's a shame but you are all 100% corect on your reviews. We are moving very soon after 8 years. Things have gone downhill fast. The priorities seem to be more on cosmetic issues rather than maintenance. Example: painting the mailroom! How about replacing the flimsy windows and maybe invest in insulating the walls! Run, don't walk away from the Preserve.

Sounds like you're talking about my apartment at Brandywine. Everything you said. Ditto
