Twenty & Grand is worth the price mainly if you are a law student at Vanderbilt. It's located directly across the street from the law school ' I don't think that there's any other apartment complex that's closer (this is really the main selling point, as it is amazing how much your day can improve with a half-hour's extra sleep in the mornings). Also, with the huge gaps between classes, it's so convenient to go home, eat lunch, and take a nap between, say, property and criminal law. Or if you need to pull a late night at the law library, you can still feel safe walking home.
The management is great; every time we've had minor problems (like the kitchen light going out or the water heater making dripping noises) they've fixed it promptly. We have covered parking, AC/heater, washer/dryer in the unit, a refrigerator, disposal, dishwasher, walk-in closets (or if you get a room without one, there's a lot of closet space even then), a spacious living room and dining room, and bay windows.
There's keyless entry from the lobby (you get a nifty little censor when you sign the lease), and the management delivers whatever packages that don't fit in your mailbox to your apartment. It has a small exercise center, too.
On the downside: It is rather expensive, and there is only one parking space per apartment (you have to pay an extra $50 for another parking space). I would recommend finding a roommate if at all possible, as it cuts down on costs considerably. Another minus is that the apartments are non-sublettable, so if you won't be in Nashville for the summer, you're stuck paying rent either way. I've also heard that the noise from the outside (cars, etc.) is sometimes a problem, but I've never noticed it (but that might be because I lived in New York City for 3 years before I moved to Nashville). Noise from other tenants isn't a problem.
