I lived at Twin Oaks from 1993 until I bought a house in 2001. I was a single woman, and felt safe there. This was VERY important to me, because I moved there after having been mugged in front of my previous apartment in the Hickory Hollow area.
The management always took care of any maintenance problems promptly. I never had any pest control issues, and really enjoyed the community. Many resident have lived there 10 years or more. There are great fitness facilities, good laundry facilities, though all apts have w/d hookups. Sometimes upstairs neighbors could be loud (playing music, or doing the laundry at 2:00 a.m.), but it was otherwise peaceful.
Some people are not happy any place they live and spew a lot of complaints, but I lived there a long time and would recommend it to anyone.
