Do NOT live here

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2003
I have been extremely disappointed with the Village at Vanderbilt Apartments for numerous reasons. First, the office staff has changed three times during the duration of my stay. The current staff is particularily unhelpful and rude.
Second, the apartments advertise that there is secured parking. This is not the case. The security "arms" have been broken for two years, and I am yet to see signs of them being fixed. Please know that anyone can access the underground parking garage.
Third, the prices are outrageous for the quality. If you are moving to this complex, realize that you are paying for location only, not for quality or service.
Fourth, the workout room is not up to par. The television is yet to the fixed, the door is often broken, and the equipment often fails to perform.
Fifth, the "secured" door at the bottom of the buildings is often broken. For the first year of my stay, the door never actually locked. This led to numerous unwelcomed visitors at my door. However, the last six months, the door has locked, but now residents' keys are unable to unlock the door. This is quite frustrating.
The good things about this apartment complex:
First, the maintenence staff is amazing. They are friendly, and I suggest that you go to them with your maintenence concerns rather than through the office. They are knowledgeable, prompt, and professional.
Second, location. This is a fantastic location; however, you are paying for merely location-how much is it really worth to you' You should also know that the apartments are located across the street from a busy hospital. If noise is bothersome, do not live here
Third, you are assigned one parking space with your apartment that is underground. This is convient; however, I feel that it is unsafe due to the broken security arms.
