So, I've lived here for over 5 years and in that time I really enjoyed my original landlord. She was helpful and made sure my unit was maintained quickly (if I made a service call). Well, now that my unit has been sold to some other management company. So, when I make a call to my "landlord" I can't call the real office at the complex, I have to call some place else and leave a message via a dispatch person. Then, I might get a reply that day.

I would also like to add that I have never had a problem with my previous landlord. Be it rent, contracts, etc. But now that this new management company has taken control of my unit they treat me like I've never rented the unit before. They "offered" me the unit for the same amount I was already paying. And then after already having paid them for two months rent tried to get me to sign a new contract.

I went on to let them know that I was moving out of state and that I needed the contract changed so that it would be retro active and it just happened to work out to the six month agreement the just had to have. They also stated that a month-to-month rent was illegal...when asking several lawyer friends I've found this to be untrue.

Today I came home to find a notice that stated I paid the rent late...which I did not! I paid like every month I've lived here. (BTW: the new management company makes you drive to the nearest branch bank they use and deposit the money into their account...so their tenants do their banking for them...what if you were a blind tenant' There are some here.) Good thing I have my deposit slip from the rent check...we'll see what happens with this.

Anyways, the place is pretty decent. I've felt like it's been going a little down hill...mainly because a lot of the old tenants are moving away, etc. The new management company (for some units) is just insane and act as if they are superior to you and you're a child or something! The pool is nice (although I don't use it often). The mailboxes are convienient. The parking is ok. Units are decent...and if maintained well are great for the price...AC in one room is hard to deal with in the hot summers...and base borad heating is another task in the winter...and only 6 washers and 6 driers on site (cheaper than the laundromats though).

Overall a pretty good place to live while in college...the new management company still sucks!
