Waterford Place
AVERAGE RATING

We lived here for 2 yrs in a 2BR apartment, and chose this place for the location and it's price, cheaper than the other complexes of a similar age (there are older, cheaper alternatives on HWY 70). Though the buildings are relatively new, the maintenence issues showed the age of the facility. We had an burst water heater, had to get a new dishwasher, leaky plumbing and refrigerator. Oh, and the stove went bonkers on us once.
there isn't much storage space in the 2BR. The walk-in closet is more like a squeeze-in closet. the kitchen cabinets are small.
The tenants are generally quiet. Some students do live in the community and can be noisy. The occasional loud car stereo or party doesn't bother me but it did my wife, so if you are noise averse, you might want to look elsewhere.
The place is safe and generally well lit, some shadows that could be dangerous. Some cars were broken into, mine included. Apparently many complexes were hit, so can't blame Waterford, but it is vulnerable.
Maintenence was very good, they replaced one good worker with another.
The staff is schizo; or perhaps just two-faced. They can be extremely nice however one suspects it is a front. They dealt with me differently than with my wife. Well I guess they can have good and bad days however in the end it was bad.
We wanted more room so a move to a 3BR place was necessary. In the end, dealing with them on moving to a new place was unnecessarily difficult and we chose to say, "We're out." We found a great price on a condo and jumped on it.
You simply cannot beat the location if you want to live in Bellevue and in an apartment, especially if you're a night owl or a young single person. However if you want more room for the money and good amenities, go elsewhere.
Our rent reflects the cost of water and trash collection.

Yes. There is definately a problem with the office staff. They can be very unprofessional and are not a good example of what a good leasing office should be. I've lived in several apartment communities and give the ladies an A for effort, but they need further training and experience, from what I can see. I've dealt with their multiple personalities myself. Maintenance is ok, but I've noticed with the new guys, the property has more trash on the ground and the roofs seem to be falling apart. What's up with that?
