I have lived at this complex for a year now, and for all requirements of a living space, Rolling Hills is an awesome place to live. I loved the layout of the larger 2 bedroom units, and there is a small sense of community. I am an ideal renter, never been late on a payment ever, have perfect credit, and kept everything in tip-top shape. I was transferred to Los Angeles, CA for my job, and submitted my notice to vacate within the lease terms (60 days), and paid the next month's rent even though I would not be living there. When I received my final notice, all the dates were off by more than a month, saying that I gave 2 days total notice, moved out 4 days after I actually had, and that I owed them $1724.20 in fees (monthly rent was $575). After contacting them about the dates/fees, they informed me that (conveniently) all of my paperwork had been misplaced, and that they never received my check for $575, even though I handed it directly to the front desk. I was also charged for 4 days of pro-rated rent totaling $74.20, even though I had cut the power off in my name some days prior. This is an ongoing struggle, and they have not made the first intention of budging, even though I am clearly in the right.
