I have lived at The Manhattan for four months. At first glance, I have a cute one bedroom apartment plenty of light and with creative organization, ample storage space. However, things are not as they seem. I can constantly hear my neighbors television and stereo's playing; paint is flaking away on numerous walls. I have discovered mold on the ceilings of my closets and mold was painted over in the bathroom. The staff is a nightmare to deal with. They have very poor customer service skills and are generally of no help. The 'conveniant laundry facilities', as described in their brochures, are no more then one washing machine and one dryer in the dirty, damp basement of each building. One washing machine and one dryer for an entire building of people!! There is no guest parking at the Manhattan. If you live here and to have guest over, they will have to find parking on the street. If there is no street parking available, you are out of luck! The buildings are old and bugs show up everywhere. No amount of spraying or pest control seems to get rid of them. I had honestly high hopes upon moving in...the retro style of the apartments really meshed well with me. However, the poor response I have had from staff and other issues I have discussed here have made me decide to move out early. If you have any other choices, i would not recommend living at The Manhattan
