Used to be Great!

My first year was great- neighbors that I knew, lots of socializing between tenants, no real problems other than some yokels with dirt bikes. Apartments are always a disappointment, you expect that.
I had some maintenance issues- the skylight was leaking and it took them SIX MONTHS TO FIX IT. Rather that hire professionals to deal with a problem ONCE, this place likes to hire the absolute cheapest person possible to deal with it 20 times. But they were at least polite, and I know the issue was confusing, I excused the issue at the time.
When I moved in, I had a set of measurements I had taken from the demo unit I was shown. Turns out, that demo unit was NOTHING like the one I was given, and the dryer I had been given for Christmas would not fit through the door without smashing the frame. There goes a couple hundred bucks.
The second year, management changed. I got woken up in the middle of the night by the sound of three gunshots, which I thought was knocking at my door. I ran downstairs and stepped out on the porch in my bathrobe(thinking maybe some kids had been tricking me).
Turns out, my neighbor got shot in the face and she bled to death in the parking lot.
Now my neighbors are an autistic lunatic who starts screaming fights with his neighbors. This guy has upped the turnover rate on the units adjacent to him, and started to rotate in some real trash. The kind of people who put their babies in the pool with diapers on, throw glass bottles in the pool, and play deafening car stereos 24 hrs a day.
The maintenance man has degenerated into a drunken haze for about a year now, and his house is across the parking lot from me, where I can hear constant screaming fights.
The floorplans are great- especially the 2BR townhome with the skylights, but the railing, molding, carpet, etc. is exactly the kind of super low quality you expect from owners like these.
Oh yes, and no pets. But have all the screaming welfare babies over on your visitation weekend and let them cry all day and poop up the pool- and you can have all the feral dumpster cats you want. Thats cool.
I was happy at first here, but the place has really gone downhill because of neglect.
I enthusiastically recommended the place before this past year, but I don't know if I can do that now that I have lousy neighbors, maintenance staff, and my walls are cracking.
To be fair: After I moved out they game me my entire security deposit back. Even though, in my opinion, they really did not have to. I think that moves them out of the slumlord category. I have since lived with a property management company(Details Property Management of Bremerton) who makes me really miss these people.
