Repairs are horrible! She replaced my balcony door with a HOLLOWCORE door. She put TAR/SEALANT on the balcony floor. The maintenence man said they would have to put pebbles down when I moved out. It got squishy when warm; stuck to everything. The outside light had wires sticking out; was falling off the wall. The gutters are busted or rusted, the place is unsafe. The hole in the gutter dripped water onto the top step, covered it with ice. Told the owner; she never did a thing. (I'd have put duct tape over it, if I could have reached it.)
Wasps' nests everywhere. My friend (who's so allergic to bees and wasps that she has to keep a syringe in her car) saw me get stung as we were going up the steps together, and she couldn't even visit me. Pool - UGH! Grounds are usually filthy, parking lot full of trash. Staff turnover is high. (Anyone I gave Christmas cards last year still there' I know Rebecca isn't!) Tenants move out in the night here. I think every single neighbor I had before is gone now. One woman threw an iron through the window on the way out!
When Connie Kington owned this place, kids played, had toys around, and decent people had fun. Connie treated folks like they had homes here.
The new owner makes up ridiculous rules,(for example: no cat could be let outside in the daytime; I had window locks and my cat went freely in and out and always had food and water available). I began to DREAD coming home from a hard day's work to yet another asinine rule stuck on the door. The lease even changes the amount of the rent mid-lease.(If her taxes allegedly go up, your rent goes up. Watch out for this!)
One poor lady and her elderly mother were hounded mercilessly because they were moving on Saturday, and people were pounding on her door, demanding that they be out TODAY on Friday (when they had no truck). I've had to advise tenants who were in tears that they had the right to be removed by the courts and not simply forced out on the spot. (That 3-day grace period was less time than these ladies needed, and they were legally entitled to it.)
Once Connie sold it, the place went into a BIG, STEEP slide down! Present owner will get POed if you stand up to her. I'M SO BLESSED TO BE AWAY!! Hooray!
P.S. Two parking spaces; watch out for loiterers in the parking lot, though. (She had to send out one of her memos about that problem.)

the reason people move out in the night is because the owner is more interested in money then people. i had 1 months lease left and i married someone in the air force and we were getting sent overseas for 2 years but no she would not let me out of my lease for just 1 month so i left in the night because i did not think that was fair.

Good for you! She is a greedy, coldhearted person IMO.

Her memos are the dumbest thing I have ever seen, and the person that that memo was really about is still doing it. If something is not going to matter to her then just forget about it, whatever you need isn't going to happen, she doesn't care.
