I rented with Hunters Ridge from June 08 to December 08. THE worst apartments I've ever lived in. I moved up from Houston after just seeing the apartments from their website. Was highly disappointed with the apartments themselves, the staff, and the way things were handled. I had a huge cockroach problem halfway through my lease; it was so bad I'd find them in the oven and dishwasher. I reported it many times and they said they'd come and spray. Out of the maybe 15 times I requested them to spray, they did maybe twice. I had a little puppy living with me and she would find roaches in her water bowl and food bowl. It was unacceptable.

I found a new apartment long before my lease was up, and paid everything in full up until December. I moved out and moved into a new apartment. I was told I'd receive my deposit to my new address within 30 days. When I still had nothing in the middle of February I gave them a call. I was told to "keep checking my mailbox". Then it was May, and still nothing. I sent letter after letter requesting my deposit, or at least a note to tell me why I wouldn't be getting it back if that were the case. I called, sent letters and even walked in a few times and still no one would (or could) tell me why I hadn't gotten my deposit. It was not until November when I sent a letter to the management in Dallas, stating that if I did not receive my deposit in the next week or so I'd be handing my case over to my lawyer and they could work it out from there. What do you know, 2 days later I had a check in the mail (it wasn't even my full deposit) but I was so sick of dealing with those idiots I cashed it anyway.

The point of my story is DO NOT rent with Hunter's Ridge.
