I moved in 2003 and it was ok, I walked out my apartment and it was kind of like a Jerry Springer episode (Women fighting Men, drunken fight etc...even a midget)pets come with the apartments too even you like mice and roaches. Over the time I stayed there it got worse, water being turned off for hours if not days, toliets clogging up. Faucet in the kitchen had to be fixed 5 times and was still broken a day after. Air condition broke on 3 occasions. Not to mention the rent being raised atleast $50 every 6 months. Luckily my vehicle wasn't vandalized but it had more door dings then I have seen in my lifetime.
The office staff was nice (of course only time I spoke with them was when I was paying rent, or calling in to tell them something was wrong). Don't try to find out why you have no water, because they will tell you they are fixing the pipes (same pipes everytime).
As far as neighbors go, 75% of mine were pleasant and neighborly. The other 25% would fight, break windows, have their babies were running around in diapers at all hours of the day. The solictors that come by at all hours of the day is enough to drive you insane (how many people sell the news paper and magazines to win a trip to Europe in 1 day') I never went anywhere near the pool...partially because it was only open 2 months the whole 2 years I was there. And I was never able to find the sauna they advertised.
I will say some postives, the cable was included in the price as well as water and the apartments are very spacious. And the maintence crew would come to fix things to the best of their ability.
Make sure you pay your rent on time or get ready to go get a money order.
All and all I would give Las Brisas a 1 out of 5.
So the good points are:
cable
water (when the pipes are working)
space
maintence
office workers on days rent is due
rent was cheap
close to base
they also come with bookshelves and ceiling fans
nice balcony
bad points:
roaches
mice
carpet stains (brand new carpet')
appliances from 1981
neighbors
solictors
management
trash removal
parking
privacy
asphalt around complex
mail (had to drive to post office to pick up magazines occasionally)
animals roaming around
people don't clean up after their pets
can't really recall any other bad points
but I am sure their is some.
Granted I should have moved instead of spending 2 years there but I was to lazy to move my furniture.
I was hestiate to put this up because my experience could have been worse I'm sure but what the hell, they had no problem trying to say things bad about me to others.

The sauna you couldn't find was that little tiny baby pool... the pool that was about a foot deep and smelled like urine. That is the sauna they advertised.
