DON'T LIVE HERE

I have lived here since August and have had 3 break-ins to my house. I have spoken to my neighbor and her boyfriend's tires were slashed. She also had jewelry stolen from her house. One night I was awakened by the police banging on my door informing me that my truck was one of many broken into during the night.
The grounds here are not beautiful. The only ones that are well-kept are the ones facing the street. My yard consists of mud or dirt (depending on whether or not it has rained) and there are no less than 5 pallets of plastic squares that have been sitting in the same spot since I moved in. There is constantly dirt and mud on the sidewalks and parking spots. My electric bill is, on average, 200/month and that is without running the AC/Heat. When I use climate control my bill is 300 . The cheapest bill I have had is $160. This is all due to single-pane windows, no sealant around doors/windows, and old appliances and AC/Heating units. I look at my power meter (with absolutely nothing on in the house) and it is spinning so fast I can barely see the numbers. Other times, I will have the AC running along with my big-screen TV and the meter will be crawling.
The mainenance crew, while friendly, is somewhat inept. It took over a month for them to get to installing my new bathroom door (which was supposed to be installed the day I moved in) and when they finally did get around to it, it took all day to install it - a simple wooden swinging door that would have taken me less than an hour to install myself. They may knock on the door, but they will come right in if you do not answer in time. My wife was in bed/naked twice and they have just come on in!
The bathrooms are really old (some even have carpet!) and outdated. There is lime all over the faucets. The shower head comes to my eyes - and I am only 5'7" tall! Any normal sized person literally has to squat to get wet. The water is routinely shut off and while we do recieve advance warning (usually a day or two prior), the water stays off for hours on end with no notice of how long it will stay off.
I have not enjoyed my stay here and am out on the first call from the base saying my house is ready to move into!

I'm living in these apartments right now, and I'll agree with most of this review. There are some annoying things wrong with the apartment we're living in, like the lights not working, or door knobs falling off, and doors not closing properly, but for the most part it is pretty clean and there are rarely any bugs, Yay! It's really quiet too, except for the occasional mowing. But it is definitely true about the shower. Ours was so low we had to go to the store and buy a special shower head so that we didn't have to bend over backwards to wash our hair. Also, I've noticed a ton of wasps nests all over the complex... none of them seemed active, though lately I've been seeing them around, so maybe they're coming back... yikes...
