I lived at Riatta Ranch for 6 months when I lived in Abilene.

It's not necessarily a bad apartment complex, management is friendly enough.

However having reported my neighbor for being a drug dealer (I was a cop for 14 years) and the guy getting arrested and not evicted by management for drug dealing, traffic at all hours of the night and extremely loud music makes you wonder.

I won't even discuss the downstairs neighbor with the pit bull looking dog that nearly jumps over the 5-6 feet and tries to snap at your feet or the occasionally very large dogs running off leash in the commons ground.

Maintenance was useless we complained about bad air conditioning and nothing much was ever done besides pumping more freon into the unit. Oh and on the day we left the maintenance people came and sprayed some cleaning/flush out chemical in the AC after which they went outside and we ended up retching and gagging and packing.

I guess they decided the next tenant deserved a working AC but not the ones that just paid rent there for the last 6 months.

If you think this sounds good feel free to rent here, but don't say you weren't warned. I also lived in country club opposite the mall of Abilene and there was a world of difference living there. If they are available live there. Their worst day beats riatta's best day.
