i lived at hartford place(formally spanish village) for roughly 14 months. i did not want to live there but i was strapped for cash. The management is awful, and that is the new management. The management would often lose rent checks. the mailboxes are mostly a distant walk from apartments. the garbage locations are extremely far. while i lived there i had my ceiling collapse into my living room twice. next door the ceiling leaked and dripped into the apartment during light rain. i was walking up the stairs that get to my apartment and a step collapsed under my feet causing me to make a trip to the emergancy room. parking is horrible and the maintenence is worse. i also had 1/2 of my balcony fence rott and fall off. the laundry facilty's are a joke. i am willing to bet that there is mold in almost every apartment. i have known 10-13 different residents and they all say the same.

Lose rent checks, really? If you want mail and garbage door service, maybe you need not be so strapped for cash. For the right amount of money you can move into a high-rise with a concierge. Then you wouldn???t have to get off your lazy rump???.maybe that is why you are strapped for cash.

Do not move into Hartford Place unless it's your last resort. I have been here for almost a year now and it was great at first. A lot of room for a fair price, but as the months went on it's true colors showed. We rent every 6 months and we are about to renew for a second time. The first time we renewed our rent went up 10 dollars and now we were informed it will be increasing another 10 dollars. Our ceiling has had multiple leaks for months at a time. At one point we had a storm and our bedroom got soaked. Our bed was drenched in disgusting rain water. Our ceiling fan was on when the leak occurred and our walls were covered in brown water. When we told our office staff all they said was "Yes this happens when it dries we will have roofers out to patch it". Even after the roofers came out we still have constant leaks. One of our dryers in our laundry room caught fire and the whole complex were forced to use 4 washers and 4 dryers for weeks. We had a water main break in one of the apartments and were without water for hours on fourth of July weekend. When we asked about when the water may be back on their response was "Hopefully by ten o' clock tonight or sometime tomorrow". Really professional! Our most recent mess up was our boiler going out. We were without hot water for three days and they had no remorse for their tenants being so inconvenienced. To add to the headache my front kitchen window was busted out and it took a month for them to finally replace it. Not to mention our upstairs bathroom fan hasn't worked since we moved in despite our complaints, the toilet is crooked, out bathtub leaks, and my sons window has a terrible gap for insects to enter. These problems would normally be minuscule but due to poor office staff and lack of consideration the people at Hartford Place have to suffer. Again I do not recommend living here. I am miserable at this point.
