Hartford Place is a great place to live.

I will agree with previous reviewers that there have been problems here. However, I believe that the staff is very good. If you call the office with a maintenance request, maintenance is always there on the same day, usually within an hour. The manager and assistant manager are easy to deal with and very friendly. The buildings are old but are being taken care of. The roof on our building has been replaced, and all of the wooden stairs and balconies have been replaced or repaired in this past spring. Maybe it's not the best or newest in Abilene, but it's a good value. The rent is comparable to others in Abilene and it is all bills paid, which is a big plus.

I agree. I just moved into Hartford earlier this year and it seems like they are trying to do improvements all the time. The landscaping is nice and the pool is always clean and inviting. The buildings are old but they are taking care of them and painting where it is needed.
