I have lived in The Addison Of Brookhaven for about 5 months and so far I find it a decent place to live in.

Parking: I have had no problems parking near my apartment when I come home later in the evening or at any other time. There are ample spaces near my front door. I have seen comments that there are very few parking spaces for visitors. I have seen about 60 or so spots for visitors to park.

Maintenance: When I moved in I filled out a form to let the office staff know what problems I had and they were all fixed the same day by the time I got home from work. And any problems that I have had since then, which were only two, were also fixed the same day. The maintenance staff makes the grade in my book.

Construction: On this point granted this is an older complex and it is not what I am sure that it use to be. Any problems that I have in my apartment are only cosmetic to me. But I did note these problems on my move in sheet and the office staff made a copy and gave me one. So if there are any problems when I move out I will have that.

Noise: Yes the walls are thin and I sometimes tend to think that the upstairs neighbors have lead feet/boots and I wish that kids would not run around up there. From time to time I do hear music from neighbors. The only real problem I had was when an upstairs neighbor had his music up too loud while he was sitting outside talking to a friend with his door standing open. I went out and asked him if he would please turn it down which he did very nicely and I have not had any problems of note since. I will say that when my lease renews that I will be looking for an upstairs apartment or a townhome so that I won't be concerned with noise from upstairs neighbors.

Grounds: The landscaping is nice enough. But it would be nice to have some more flowers, etc around. But I do see the staff picking up the grounds every morning during the week by my apartment.

Safety: I can only speak for myself of course but I have not had any problems regarding safety. Now my apartment door is right up next to the parking lot/sidewalk. But I have noticed that some of the entrances are concealed or away from the parking lot. I would not move into these units as it seems that it might be an area where someone could hide, or come up on you when you come home and they would not be seen by others. The same would apply for anyone that might want to get into your front door sight unseen. And I do wish that the complex was better lit.

Office staff: They have always been quite pleasant and helpful with any quesitons or concerns that I might have.

I have seen comments that its mostly Hispanic that live here...which may be true at least with the people that I have seen. But I have also seen Anglos, --------American, and Asian. I have not seen any gangs or gang graffiti which I have seen mentioned in other posts here....and the neighborhood seems ok. I am not concerned about sitting out on the front step or anything like that. But I do wish those that think that they can race through the parking lot would please keep in mind the safety of the children that live and play here...plus adults.

I think that this is a decent place for the money and the location.

well yeah i am an insider...i have lived here for over a year...i am in a townhome now....an i cant think of any place that i would rather be....its great

The review sounds pretty honest. They list good and pad points, and it's pretty lengthy. Usually the management reviewers will leave a single paragraph with nothing but praise.
