I arrived home one evening to find my patio fence torn down. I immediately walked to the office (and had to deal with the staff, unfortunately) ... they assured me that they were repairing the fences and that they would put the new one up soon. After a week and no patio fence we inquired again ... When I noticed that every other patio not facing the office, and 2nd floor patios still had their fence in tact they decided to fess up and tell me they decided not to replace it.
So, I then had a lovely slab of concrete for a patio.
This was a huge problem because foundation problems had caused the side door to no longer lock (a problem I metioned several times but was told could not be fixed.) Heh. So to put this into perspective, I had an apartment right behind the leasing office, no patio fence, and a door that wouldn't lock. Yea ... nice. So we had to shove the couch in front of the door for "security".
Additionally, just weeks later my roommate's bike was stolen. Management/office staff didn't seem to care ... no suprise there. My roommate complained that sense we were only one of a few units without fences she should be reimbursed for her bike. No way ... no help whatsoever, even though we were paying for so-called privacy and a patio that was now demolished ...
I'm pretty sure the removal of the patio fence was some sort of breach of contract, but we were so sick of the ------- maintenence staff, office staff and -------- apartment we decided to cut our loses and move elsewhere as soon as we could!!!
BY THE WAY ... BEWARE of the office staff telling you that you owe double ($400) deposit because you're young and too stupid to know any differently.
Do I recommend this place' Absolutely not. Our 2 bedroom 1 bath was a dump ... and for as much as we paid we would've had better luck 2 blocks away.
