I lived in the complex a few years ago, but it was so bad I have to let others know. I had a 1 bedroom. From the first day I had to listen to extremely loud music pouring through my living room walls and floor. This music would go on and on at any given hour: 7 PM, 1 AM, 10 AM... I honestly wondered how many people lived in that tiny unit. In addition to the noise, the building was problematic to say the least. Due to a lack of sprinklers, the foundation of my building was cracked and my living room floor sloped down like a ski run! There were rats in the attic, the plumbing was awful - bathroom flooding. The front office staff changed several times while I was a tenant, but the attitude stayed the same: bad. The maintenance guys were lazy and incompetent when they did work. The laundry rooms were filthy. I'm stopping now because this is bringing back too many upsetting memories. If you see this place run in the opposite direction. A homeless shelter would be nicer.

UPDATE: I'm not surprised to hear that sex offenders have lived or are living at Bent Tree Brook. In my opinion children and apartments don't mix well in the first place. BTW, I originally posted my review of Bent Tree Brook in 2006 and my editing today, 6/24/07, has bumped it up to the top, which is not what I intended.

Yeah, and add in sex offender, multiple car breakins, dead people in their apartments ...

Yea I remember the one about the dead guy! He was discovered dead in his apartment when his relative came over to check on him I think, cuz he didn't show up for work or something, and it was hard to get the real deal on what happened, but I think it was a suicide. that's what I was told...... So you can't really count that as crime, or murder. And I mean, heck, everyone's gotta die somewhere right? Why not at your home? LOL. anyway, the brooks is a lot sloppier than the Fountains as far as grounds, parking lots, etc. Once I walked all through the grounds of the brooks, just out walking around on a nice summer day, and I could not BELIEVE the numerous piles of dog crap everywhere!!! Man I told myself "don't ever walk over here at night!!!" I mean there were piles of it all over the freakin grounds!!! People with dogs should just do the right thing. It sucks to have to do it, sure, but if you love your dog, do the right thing, and if you love your home, do the right thing. The problem with this world is people don't treat other people or places like they'd want to be treated or their property be treated! Everyone seems to have the attitude, who cares?? let someone else clean up behind me. I just don't care. " I can't tell you how often that attitude prevails. It's shameful.
