I have been at this complex for 4 years. A year ago we upgraded to a larger one in the same complex.
I have been very happy. Since we moved in they put in a complex wide sprinkler system. The pools are clean. The management has been responsive to the few problems that we have had.
These apartments are a bit older and the insulation isn't great so our electricity bills are a bit higher.

hey everyone who lives here. does this sound accurate and recent? i looked at a redone apartment, are the redone ones more than just new appliances and paint (they honestly do look fabulous). but i'm worried about 2 things. 1. the electric bill. my apartment is paper thin walls, my neighbor and i drive each otehr crazy, i can't walk across the floor without her apartment feeling like an earthquake and vice versa. she walks across the floor DOWNSTAIRS from me and i hear dishes rattle. and neither of us is walking hard. we try to "shuffle" walk. neither of us listens to any tv or music without earphones because we have different work schedules and she's up when i'm asleep and vice versa. and i can't sleep with the tv on. i can hear her most intimate conversations and she said the same about me, we're both moving~! so noise is an issue with me. i'd like to play music low to moderate all weekend without disturbing neighbors, and i'd also not like to hear them listening to their tv's or engaging in personal actions (this has severely curtailed my dating life LOL)
so 1. are the "redone" apartments quieter?
and 2. are the redone apartments cheaper to cool. i am hot natured, and i am upstairs and have a 400 dollar electric bill june july and august. downstairs neighbor is not as bad, but then i can smell her cooking and tell the spices she uses in her cooking (smells good, but...) so i'm probably cooling both hers and my apartment.
so my questions, please be honest and please management don't do fake ones. (P.S. all apartment managers -- stop being so obvious. if every review is horrible except one that says it's a constant orgasm just to be on the premesis, we know it's a mamager. we're not dumb.)
so can i expect the redone apartments to be better insulated and quieter and easier to cool? (i don't run the heater in the winter, i could sleep outside in the winter and not freeze, i'm that hot natured.)
or should i just pass this by. i got a decent feeling about the place, the grounds were actually pretty and didn't look like there were broken down cars, and the children, yes, noisy outside but i'm not looking at a unit near the playground.
so, is it worth it for the new ones?
please be honest and respont on this the latest post, and managers please don't respond. this post appears to be a legit post from someone who likes the place and is not mgmt.
