ANTS ANTS ANTS

We have had ants in our apartment from day one. We've made over 10 request to have our apartment sprayed. We can't even keep a trash can in our kitchen because the ants are sure to follow.

Our children tell everyone that we have ants (how embarrassing!!!).

We ask for the apartment to be sprayed for the ants and they send a guy around with some sort of glue that does NOTHING to get rid of the ANTS.

Yes, this place is a great value for the size of the apartment you will get. But the size of the headache....it's just not worth it.

Now the management seems to have turned against us and they say we are the ONLY people that complain about ants. Well, if that's the case, they should be able to isolate the problem and solve it!

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!

Not to downplay your obvious frustration, but I do happen to know a bit about the Addison area. The pest control experts in DFW have all mentioned to me that for one reason or another, Addison itself seems to be a hotbed for a number of unwelcome visitors, "pests" if you will. Obviously I can't speak for your experience, and I can't speak for the company your management is using to combat the pests, but as a point of suggestion, you may want to inquire about how frequently an OUTSIDE treatment is done to the grounds. Where I live, fire ants are a way of life, and the maintenance techs here have been using a product called Tal-Star and it works WONDERS. From talking to some people in the area, apparently anywhere that has heavy ant or termite population really should be treating the grounds about twice a year, and your dwelling should be sprayed about once every 6 weeks or so. You may also want to ask about the windows and what kind of installation/insulation/sealing there is around them. The obvious statement would be to make sure not to leave food of any kind out unless it's in sealed containers. As for the trashcan, I have no pointers there. I hope you get your ants taken care of. Hall was a great management company when I lived on their properties; it's a shame to see that the satisfaction level has been faltering. Good luck.
