The review posted on 11/21/2007 attacking this complex and giving it a bad rating has been posted several times. The person posting it is upset from when their car was towed from the property over a year ago. Of course their post does not state that because then everyone would know their post is total BS which it is. I am not sure why this person's car was towed but it was probably due to some wrong doing on their part. Whoever is posting the negative post has some real personal issues. Come on get over it already. I have lived here for nearly a year and have never had any problems. The management is very easy to work with. The units are being renovated and they look amazing. Generally speaking the community is very quiet. Some residents have been here for over 3 years. If you are young looking for an inexpensive place to live that that has a classy interior then this is you place. Actually. Move here now if you are young because for some reason i have seen mostly older people here..lol.. probably why is is so quiet. So in conclusion... person posting the fabricated crimes information, how about you get a life. And for all prospective tenants, this place rocks. Oh, there is a down side that i need not forget. Police do reside at nearby complexes (which are also owned by the same company) that act as security when off duty. Additionally they like to camp out on Westgrove and get people for speeding. So remember, the speed limit on Westgrove is 30 not 40 . I learned the hard way.

Excuse me, but this poster completely over looks the fact that these are THE PROJECTS. This complex takes vouchers. If you want to live with people on public assistance and all the problems that come with that ... like fights, thefts, shootings and constant evictions THEN MOVE HERE. If that is NOT what you had in mind ... if you are NOT on public assistance ... then go somewhere that charges the same price or cost per square foot as this place and DOES NOT TAKE VOUCHERS. This is not a complex proposition. Unless you are on public assistance you do NOT WANT TO LIVE HERE NO MATTER WHAT COSMETIC CHANGES THEY MAKE. THEY HAVE NOT IMPROVED THE BTU'S OF THE HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS, THEY HAVE NOT ADDED INSULATION IN THE ATTIC, THE COST OF ELECTRICITY HERE IS OVER FIFTY PERCENT OF YOUR RENT. LOOK AT THE HVAC UNITS. THEY ARE DECREPID. THEY ARE ANCIENT. MANY ARE THE ORIGINAL UNITS. DO NOT LIVE HERE IF YOU HAVE OTHER OPTIONS.

I am the poster of the stolen vehicle. It was NOT towed. It was stolen. That is a fact. The police report is on file with the Addison Police Department. I fact all the reported crimes are on file with the Addison Police Department. I have no idea why someone would post that this vehicle was towed. That is absolutely, positively false. This person has NOT logged in as management which you are required to do if you are management and posting. It appears to me that management is attempting to improve their score by repetitive postings and by posting false facts. Crime was very, very, very common at Bent Tree Oaks. This is not a safe place to live. Before you decide to live here call the Addison Police Department: http://www.addisontx.gov/departments/police/ The claim that police officers live in complexes near by which suggests that you take the gigantic mental leap to believing THIS is a safe place to live is outrageous. Police Officers can live here for free. None do. Ask yourself WHY? My response is that there are much better places for them to live.

This is all true. NO POLICE OFFICERS LIVE ON THE PREMISES AND THEY CAN LIVE HERE FOR FREE. They do live in the nicer complexes but NOT in this one and not in any complexes that take vouchers. Wow, I cannot believe management would post like this and completely make up that lie about the car being towed instead of stolen. This sounds like management that totally cannot be trusted.

I love it at Bent Tree Oaks! I'm a property manager elsewhere and choose to make this place my home. It's quiet and I've never heard or seen a criminal act. I moved here in Dec 2007. However, as a property manager, if yall are looking for an apartment. Don't read these post. 90% of these post come from former residents that either... trashed the apartment and ended up owing money (so they're pissed off and can't accept responsibility), or they got evicted becuase they can't follow rules and have little respect for other people, and other reasons similar! ASK POLICE DEPARTMENTS, ASK APT LOCATORS, ASK RESIDENTS WHEN YOU VISIT THE PROPERTY! DON'T LISTEN TO THE FOOLS ON HERE!
