I've lived in one of the townhouse apartments for approx. 3 years now. My apartment is spacious & well-maintained. The one thing I don't like about it for the price is that there's no heating/ac vent in the second bathroom & they can't install one. Seems for the price, you'd at least get a vent in every room, especially one surrounded by an outside wall on 3 sides.

The management has always been very nice & responds extremely quickly to problems. Maintenance arrives the next day or even sometimes the same day. Once we had to wait 3 days but that was for a contractor to re-tile the bathtub.

This is a very quiet neighborhood. It had some problems for a while during & after Katrina but that has been cleared up. Great price as we moved in on a special. I have a feeling that we'll be moving when out lease is up though. They're upgrading the cabinets & countertops so I have a feeling that the rent will be raised more than I want to pay.

Yeah, move. No mystery there. They are raising the rent to as much as places that do NOT accept vouchers. They are raising the rent to as much as places that have insulation. They are raising the rent to as much as places that are gated. They are raising the rent to as much as places that have HVAC units that are not over ten to fifteen years old. They are just putting lipstick on a pig.
