I wish I had reviewed this site prior to moving in here. I would have noticed all of the issues that people were having from before that I am having NOW!

Don't be fooled when you drive in and see all of the pretty rose bushes out front. You won't find a trace of them in the back near the laundry facilities where it looks like a ghetto.



I have complained once a month for 10 months about the ant problem here. They claimed that they changed exterminators but it has not been solved. I find piles of dead ants on the floor after they leave, however, live ants are still crawling all over my kitchen, shower, bathroom and even on my starched clothes in the closet. A friend sent me a candy cane in a Christmas card that the person watching my apartment set on my counter. When I returned, it was covered in ants. Yes, I returned in January.

I live near the leasing office so I make regular trips to see them about my maintenance issues. If you do make the mistake of moving in, you'll notice that they smile at you but rarely write down anything. Here are a few of my complaints and the results I received:

Ants - still living with insects

Screen Door - request made once at lease signing and again 4 months later. Maintenance claimed that they ordered one but I did not receive one.

A/C - Went out twice. Both times in the middle of the night during the summer. When I paged the "emergency number" for maintenance, I did not hear anything. When they did come to repair it, they left oil stains all over my carpeting.

Windows - Reported that they won't stay open at lease signing. Didn't fix one until 6 months later and it was unannounced. They said that they would fix the other one tomorrow but never returned.

Sliding glass door - has never locked. Was told by leasing office it would be fixed, however, it never has been.

Sign on door - number sign has a crack in it. Cosmetic issue, however, I was told that it would be fixed at the lease signing as it is embarrassing when I have guests over. Was never fixed.

Dishwasher - produces food or some other substance when washing. I've had to hand wash everything. No resolution from the office.

I have also experience the loud bass thumping coming from cars passing by at all hours of the night. The frequent visits by the Addison Police Department should also give you a hint of what type of complex you'll be dealing with.

I usually do not voice my negative opinions of things, however, I feel that I would be doing everyone an injustice that thought they had found a bargain here only to find the nightmare that I have been living in. It is really true...you do get what you pay for in the end. I even considered moving to another unit in the complex with the thought that it might just be this unit that is giving me trouble. Now I see that others have had the same issues. So do yourself a favor, do NOT MOVE IN HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES unless you don't mind living in filth and bugs.
