My husband and I have lived here for two years, only because the rent is so cheap. We have finally decided to move and are doing so in a few months when the lease is up. Everything bad that you read on this site is 100% true. I mean EVERYTHING! Maintenance is inept and slow, when I go into the office the help is just sitting around and talking, the neighbors are loud and ghetto-like, trash everywhere, broken windows that never get fixed, and an unconcerned management.
We had a horrible leak in our bathroom and the wall actually collapsed, water everywhere. Turns out the guy upstairs was washing dishes in his bathtub. We had to change apartments, they didn't offer to knock off a month of rent or pay for our move or anything. I wrote a letter to the owner, to no avail.
My recent apartment search is revealing that there are places just as cost efficient that are actually nice. Keep looking, moving here will ultimately drive you batty. My mom lives in a complex where the maintenence is amazing, the staff is wonderful, and when you have noisy neighbors the MANAGER walks her rear down to the offending tenant and tells them herself to knock it off.
